Canadian Colleges Form Consortium to Address Clean Energy Workforce Needs
Five Ontario post-secondary institutions—Centennial College, Durham College, Georgian College, Humber Polytechnic, and Ontario Tech University—have united to form the Canadian Clean Energy Workforce Consortium (CCEW). This initiative aims to address the growing demand for skilled workers in Canada's clean energy and nuclear sectors. The consortium will focus on developing education and training programs to prepare students for careers in these fields. The collaboration is guided by an Industry Advisory Council and aims to align educational offerings with industry needs and national priorities. The consortium plans to expand its reach across Canada and internationally, supporting emerging nuclear economies in countries like Indonesia and the Philippines.
