Kathy Taggares Donates $2.5 Million to Establish ASPCA Community Veterinary Clinic in Carson, California
Kathy Taggares, owner and president of K.T.'s Kitchens, has made a $2.5 million donation to establish The ASPCA Community Veterinary Clinic by Kathy Taggares in Carson, California. The clinic, which celebrated its grand opening on July 29, is located approximately one mile from her food processing plant. This new facility aims to provide free and affordable basic and preventive veterinary care for dogs and cats, including vaccinations, treatment for minor illnesses and injuries, humane euthanasia services, and free spay/neuter surgeries. Taggares's philanthropic efforts in animal welfare began after she rescued an injured stray kitten, Princess Millie, in 2002, which inspired her to dedicate significant resources to helping animals in need. Since 2012, she has contributed over $4.8 million to the ASPCA, initially supporting mobile spay/neuter clinics in underserved communities in Los Angeles.
