Moroccan Artist Amina Agueznay Prepares for Venice Biennale Debut
Amina Agueznay, a Moroccan artist, is set to represent her country at the 61st International Arte Exhibition of the Venice Biennale. This marks the first time Morocco will have an official national pavilion at the event, which will be located within the Arsenale. Agueznay, known for her intricate woven artworks, has been selected alongside curator Meriem Berrada to showcase Moroccan art on this prestigious international stage. The project involves contributions from 166 craftspeople across Morocco, highlighting the collaborative nature of the exhibition. Agueznay's work, which includes large woven pieces and complex openwork designs, reflects her diverse background in architecture and jewelry design.
