UK Deploys HMS Dragon to Middle East for Potential Hormuz Mission Amid US-Iran Tensions
The United Kingdom has announced the deployment of its warship, HMS Dragon, to the Middle East as part of a potential multinational effort to secure the Strait of Hormuz. HMS Dragon, an air defense destroyer, was initially stationed in the Eastern Mediterranean to defend Cyprus but is now being repositioned to join a coalition led by the UK and France.
