Kentucky's Patriots Day Freedom Fest Canceled After Low VIP Ticket Sales
The Patriots Day Freedom Fest, an event scheduled to feature Kid Rock and Duane 'Dog the Bounty Hunter' Chapman in Morning View, Kentucky, has been canceled just days before it was set to take place. Organizer Eric Deters announced the cancellation after only six of the 100 $1,000 VIP packages, which were intended to fund the free general admission event, were sold. Deters had planned to rely on his wealthy contacts to purchase these VIP tickets. In a Facebook video, Deters expressed his frustration, stating he would 'never ever' hold the event again and criticized the wealthy individuals he expected to support it, remarking, 'Rich people, as a whole, suck.' The festival, which previously attracted thousands, combined live music, political speakers, fireworks, food trucks, and children's activities.
