Chinese Electric Buses Drive Baku's Green Transport Transition
Baku, Azerbaijan, is witnessing a transformation in its public transport system with the introduction of 160 BYD electric buses from China. These buses, which are quieter and more environmentally friendly than their predecessors, are part of Azerbaijan's efforts to transition to greener mobility. The buses are expected to save significant amounts of diesel and reduce carbon emissions annually. Some of these buses are assembled locally at the Azerbaijan Energy Automotive Factory, highlighting a collaborative effort between Chinese and Azerbaijani teams to enhance the country's green transport infrastructure.
