Carnival Cruise Line Guest Dies During Australian Voyage Near Moreton Island
A 67-year-old woman from Tasmania died during a Carnival Cruise Line voyage near Moreton Island, Australia. The incident occurred on April 17, when the woman was found unresponsive in the water while snorkeling. Despite attempts to revive her, she was pronounced dead at the scene. The cruise ship, Carnival Splendor, had departed from Sydney for a four-day round-trip cruise. The Queensland Police Service is investigating the death and will prepare a report for the coroner. Carnival Cruise Line expressed deep sadness over the incident and stated that their Care Team is supporting the woman's family.
