NASA's Artemis II mission successfully completed a nearly 10-day voyage around the Moon, marking the first crewed flight of the Orion spacecraft. The mission, which launched on April 1, 2026, included NASA astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, and Christina Koch, along with Canadian Space Agency astronaut Jeremy Hansen. The crew traveled 252,756 miles from Earth, setting a new record for the greatest distance humans have traveled in space.
