Amanda Ungaro Details Harsh Conditions in ICE Detention, Raises Concerns Over Treatment
Amanda Ungaro, a Brazilian model with past social ties to President Trump and Melania Trump, has spoken out about her difficult experience while in U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) custody. In an interview with El País, Ungaro described being held in Miami and later transferred to a facility in Louisiana, where she was detained with over 120 other individuals. She reported going days without sunlight and leaving the facility infested with lice. Ungaro's arrest in Florida was reportedly linked to an anonymous tip concerning a cosmetic clinic, and she was detained despite having no prior criminal record. Her case has drawn attention due to her previous connections with the Trumps and Italian modeling agent Paolo Zampolli, who has denied any involvement in her detention.
