Delivery Driver Poet Wins China's Prestigious Lu Xun Literature Prize
Wang Jibing, a delivery driver from Kunshan, Jiangsu province, has won the Lu Xun Literature Prize, China's top literary award, for his poetry collection 'Low Altitude Flight'. Over eight years, Wang has written more than 5,000 poems while working as a courier, covering nearly 100,000 miles. His work focuses on the lives and struggles of blue-collar workers, particularly those in China's gig economy. Wang's poetry emphasizes resilience and the importance of maintaining passions despite life's challenges. His recognition as a 'delivery poet' highlights the value of grassroots voices in literature.
