Moda Health Exits Individual Insurance Market in Two Oregon Counties, Limiting Choices
Moda Health is withdrawing from the individual health insurance marketplace in Deschutes and Crook counties, Oregon, effective 2027. This decision will leave residents in these two counties with only two available provider options: BridgeSpan Health Company and Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Oregon. Both of these remaining providers are owned by the same parent company, Cambia Health Solutions. The Oregon Division of Financial Regulation (DFR) confirmed this change, noting that while other Oregon counties will have at least three options, Deschutes and Crook counties will be limited to two. Moda Health stated that its adjustments reflect the current market conditions and its goal to continue serving Oregonians long-term, acknowledging the impact on Central Oregon members and committing to support them through the transition.
