Rye High School Alumni Honored for World War II Service
RyeVets.org has identified 463 Rye High School alumni who served in World War II, with 15 making the ultimate sacrifice. These veterans, who once walked the same halls and participated in the same activities as current students, are being honored through biographies detailing their lives before, during, and after the war. The initiative aims to preserve their stories, highlighting their contributions to both the Rye community and the nation. Many of these biographies include photographs and information from 'The Stagecoach,' Rye High School’s yearbook, offering a unique glimpse into their student lives. The project seeks assistance from alumni families, historians, and community members to expand and improve these biographical records.
