Prospector Popcorn Issues Recall Over Undeclared Allergen Risk
Prospector Popcorn, a Connecticut-based company, has issued a voluntary recall for its Belgian Chocolate Toffee-flavored popcorn due to undeclared soy lecithin, a major allergen. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) classified the recall as Class II, indicating that the product may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences. The recall affects 140 bags distributed in Connecticut and New York, with expiration dates between August 5 and October 24, 2026. No illnesses have been reported so far.
