Search Intensifies for Missing U.S. Soldiers During Military Exercises in Morocco
A large-scale search operation involving over 600 military personnel from multiple countries is underway for two U.S. soldiers who went missing off the coast of Morocco. The soldiers disappeared during the African Lion military exercises, which are U.S.-led drills involving more than 7,000 personnel from over 30 nations. The soldiers were last seen near the Cap Draa training area and are believed to have been on a recreational hike. The search efforts include underwater cave explorations and aerial surveillance, with support from Moroccan and U.S. military units. The African Lion exercises, which began in April, are the largest U.S. joint military exercises in Africa and are set to conclude soon.
