Macron Allies Refute Claims of Brigitte Macron's Alleged Confrontation Over Texts with Actress
A new book by journalist Florian Tardif has sparked controversy by alleging that Brigitte Macron, the wife of French President Emmanuel Macron, confronted her husband over text messages exchanged with Iranian-French actress Golshifteh Farahani. The book, titled 'An (almost) perfect couple,' claims that Brigitte discovered the messages accidentally while on a plane in Vietnam. Tardif suggests that the relationship between President Macron and Farahani was platonic but included exchanges that were more personal, including a message where Macron expressed attraction to Farahani. The Elysée Palace initially dismissed reports of a physical altercation between the Macrons as 'fake news' and later as 'horseplay.' Both Brigitte Macron's team and President Macron have denied the allegations, with the President stating that the incident was exaggerated and merely a joke between him and his wife.
