David Edinger Steps Down as Colorado CIO Amid IT Restructuring
David Edinger, the Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Colorado, is stepping down as part of a major restructuring within the state's Office of Information Technology (OIT). This transition is part of a strategic realignment aimed at improving service delivery and efficiency. Sarah Tuneberg, the Deputy Executive Director for Digital and Delivery, will succeed Edinger as CIO. The restructuring includes a reduction of 173 employees and a shift towards a new operating model that pairs technology teams directly with state agencies to enhance government services.
