The Old Farmer’s Almanac has released its long-range weather forecast for August, highlighting regional weather patterns across the United States. The forecast predicts scattered thunderstorms, tropical storm threats, and varying temperature trends depending on the region. For example, the Northeast will experience thunderstorms and warm conditions early in the month, while the Southeast faces a potential hurricane threat from August 10 to 12. The Pacific Northwest is expected to see sunny and warm conditions for most of the month, with scattered showers toward the end. Alaska and Hawaii will also experience region-specific weather, including rain and snow showers in Alaska and scattered showers in Hawaii. The Almanac uses solar science, climatology, and meteorology to make its predictions, claiming an accuracy rate of about 80%.
