R. May Lee Appointed Third President of Olin College of Engineering, Tenure Begins August 2025
R. May Lee has been named the third President of Olin College of Engineering by its Board of Trustees. Her tenure is scheduled to commence on August 18, 2025. Lee is described as a visionary leader with a diverse career background spanning global higher education, corporate leadership, and entrepreneurship. Her experience includes roles in finance on Wall Street, work within the nonprofit sector, and deep expertise in strategy, innovation, and education. Prior to her appointment at Olin, Lee served as the Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer for Institutional Impact at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), the first technological research university in the United States. In that role, she was instrumental in defining and shaping RPI's priorities through the development and implementation of its long-term strategic plan, 'RPI Forward'.
