Flash Flooding and Storm Damage Reported Across Pennsylvania
Severe storms on Saturday evening, August 22, 2026, caused flash flooding and storm damage across parts of Pennsylvania, including Blair, Somerset, and Cambria counties. Heavy rain led to flooded roadways, particularly in the Roxbury area of Somerset, and emergency crews responded to multiple calls for downed trees and wires. A shelf cloud was observed in East Carroll Township, Cambria County, around 7 p.m. The Blair County Department of Emergency Services has initiated a survey to assess damage to homes and businesses. Residents are encouraged to report any storm-related damage to their local municipalities.
