UVM Libraries Offer Comprehensive Evidence Synthesis Support for Research Teams
UVM Libraries are providing extensive evidence synthesis support to research teams affiliated with the University of Vermont and the University of Vermont Medical Center. This support covers various review types, including systematic reviews, scoping reviews, rapid reviews, and umbrella reviews, with limited assistance for other review methodologies. Researchers are encouraged to consult with a librarian early in their projects to understand available services and resources. The libraries offer two models of support: a Collaboration Model, where librarians advise on methodology, database selection, and search strategy, and a Co-Authorship Model, where librarians actively assist with formulating research questions, developing search strategies, executing searches, processing results, and writing search methods for manuscripts. Co-authorship credit is expected for librarians under the latter model, aligning with ICMJE criteria.
