Midweek Snowstorm May Drop Up to a Foot in the Midwest
A fast-moving clipper will sweep across the Great Lakes midweek, bringing 3–5 inches of snow, with some areas possibly receiving up to a foot. Cities from Minneapolis through Milwaukee to Detroit may see a mix of rain and snow along the system’s southern edge. The storm will also usher in a surge of Arctic air, setting the stage for bitterly cold conditions following the snowfall. Residents should prepare for wintery travel and sharply dropping temperatures across the region.
