Severe Spring Weather Sweeps Across the U.S., Bringing Tornadoes, Heat, and Snow
The United States is experiencing a wide range of severe spring weather, with impacts felt from coast to coast. On Monday, storms battered the Midwest, snow fell in the Rockies, and record-breaking heat gripped the East. Over the weekend, more than 230 severe weather reports were logged, including 25 tornadoes across Nebraska, Kansas, Iowa, and Minnesota. Communities in Howard County, Nebraska, such as St. Paul and St. Libory, suffered significant damage, including torn roofs and debris. On Monday, 46 million people were at risk for severe storms stretching from Texas to Michigan, with tornado watches issued for parts of Kansas, Nebraska, and Missouri. Meanwhile, the Northeast is experiencing unseasonably high temperatures, with some areas reaching the mid-90s°F (mid-30s°C). Colorado is also facing a mix of wildfires and freezing conditions, highlighting the extreme variability of spring weather.
