Taylor Farms Recalls Pico De Gallo at Oklahoma Walmarts Due to Salmonella Risk
Taylor Farms has issued a recall for its pico de gallo products sold at Walmart locations in Oklahoma due to concerns over Salmonella contamination. The recall affects the Freshness Guaranteed Hot Pico De Gallo and Freshness Guaranteed Mild Pico De Gallo, both sold in 10 oz containers. These products have a best-by date ranging from August 8 to August 16, 2026. The contamination is linked to jalapeños supplied by Coast Citrus Distributors, which sourced the produce from a grower in Sinaloa, Mexico. Taylor Farms has ceased sourcing from this supplier. Consumers who have purchased the affected products are advised to dispose of them immediately and can obtain refunds at the point of purchase. This recall is part of a broader issue affecting multiple retailers, including Trader Joe's, Target, Whole Foods, Kroger, and Hannaford, across 25 states.
