Imperial County Historical Society Hosts Golf Tournament to Support Pioneers’ Museum
The Imperial County Historical Society organized its third annual golf tournament at Del Rio Country Club in Brawley, with proceeds benefiting the Pioneers’ Museum. The event featured a four-man scramble format, attracting participants from local businesses and community members. The tournament included unique areas such as a 'heckle hole' where participants could donate to silence hecklers, and an 'education hole' for learning about the museum. The society aims to preserve the history of the irrigated desert and the people who developed the area, with funds supporting museum projects like exhibit translations into Spanish.
