Robert Prosinecki Appointed Head Coach of Kyrgyzstan National Team
Robert Prosinecki, a former player for Real Madrid and Barcelona, has been appointed as the head coach of the Kyrgyzstan national football team. The announcement was made by the Kyrgyz Football Union, with the contract set for a duration of one year and one month. The contract signing ceremony took place on December 10, attended by Kamchybek Tashiev, the President of the Kyrgyz Football Union. Prosinecki's contract includes a clause for automatic extension by three years if the team performs successfully at the 2027 Asian Cup. Prosinecki has a notable history in football, having won the Spanish Cup and Super Cup during his playing career, and has previously coached teams such as Red Star Belgrade and the national teams of Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Montenegro.
