Bloomington Volunteer Network Seeks Support for Refugee and Community Initiatives
The City of Bloomington Volunteer Network is actively seeking volunteers to support various community initiatives, including the Bloomington Refugee Support Network (BRSN), the Area 10 Agency on Aging, and the Bloomington Animal Shelter. The BRSN is looking for new board members, particularly those with skills in financial advising and volunteer coordination, to help immigrants integrate into the Bloomington community. The Area 10 Agency on Aging is recruiting volunteers for its REPAIRS Team, which assists home-bound seniors with home repairs and accessibility needs. Additionally, the Bloomington Animal Shelter is opening its waitlist for volunteers interested in roles such as dog walking and stray cat care. These initiatives aim to enhance community support and engagement in Bloomington.
