U.S. Congressman Mike Quigley Attends Ukraine Independence Month Celebration in Chicago
U.S. Congressman Mike Quigley was among the distinguished guests at a special celebration of Ukraine’s Independence Month held at Wrigley Field in Chicago. The event, which took place on August 19 during a baseball game between the Chicago Cubs and the Chicago White Sox, was organized by the Ukrainian Congress Committee of America, Illinois Division (UCCA Illinois), in collaboration with the Consulate General of Ukraine in Chicago. The commemoration brought together various representatives of Illinois’ Ukrainian community, including those working in diplomacy, military and veteran affairs, medicine, finance, and humanitarian assistance. The ceremony recognized the significant contributions of Ukrainian Americans to the development of Chicago and Illinois, while also expressing support for Ukraine's ongoing struggle for freedom and independence.
