Forensic Scientist Suggests Local Worker Involved in Nancy Guthrie's Disappearance
Veteran forensic scientist Barbara Butcher has proposed that a local service worker or handyman may be responsible for the abduction of Nancy Guthrie, who has been missing since February 1. Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of Savannah Guthrie from the Today show, was reportedly taken from her home in Tucson, Arizona. Despite the release of doorbell camera footage and DNA testing at the FBI lab in Quantico, no suspects have been identified. Butcher, who hosts Oxygen's The Death Investigator, speculates that the abductor might have targeted Nancy due to her connection to her daughter, assuming she was wealthy. Ransom notes demanding millions in Bitcoin were sent to media outlets, but no credible leads have emerged. Butcher believes Nancy may have died shortly after the abduction, possibly due to shock or health issues.
