Artemis II Crew Prepares for Return to Earth After Historic Moon Mission
The Artemis II crew, consisting of Commander Reid Wiseman, Pilot Victor Glover, Mission Specialist Christina Koch, and Canadian astronaut Jeremy Hansen, is set to return to Earth after completing a historic mission around the moon. The crew reached a record-breaking distance of 252,756 miles from Earth, surpassing the previous record held by the Apollo 13 crew. During their mission, they became the farthest-flying humans in history and provided direct views of the moon's far side. The mission emphasized international collaboration and diversity in space exploration, marking the first crewed deep-space flight in over 50 years.
