Prominent Pittsburgh Lawyer Implicated in Penn State Frat Cocaine Trafficking Ring
Paul Robinson, a prominent Pittsburgh lawyer and managing attorney at Meyer, Darragh, Buckler, Bebeneck & Eck, has been charged in connection with a multi-state cocaine trafficking ring involving Penn State fraternity members. His son, Thomas Robinson, is alleged to be one of the ringleaders of the operation, which reportedly involved the Sigma Chi and Delta Upsilon fraternities. Paul Robinson faces felony charges of tampering with evidence and hindering apprehension for allegedly attempting to conceal evidence, including a safe containing cash and drugs, and obstructing the investigation. Prosecutors, led by Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday, announced that 14 individuals have been charged in total, with Thomas Robinson and Agostino Abbatiello identified as the primary organizers. Penn State has placed Delta Upsilon on interim suspension, while Sigma Chi operates outside university oversight.
