Republic of Korea Hosts Codex Committee on Processed Fruits and Vegetables
The Republic of Korea has been appointed as the host country for the Codex Committee on Processed Fruits and Vegetables (CCPFV). The appointment was marked by a commemorative event in Seoul, attended by representatives from government, international organizations, academia, and the food industry. The Codex Alimentarius Commission, WHO, and FAO were among the participants. Korea's appointment reflects its strong scientific expertise and commitment to international food standards. The event also launched a national governance framework to support Korea's role, emphasizing coordination and stakeholder engagement. An international symposium discussed the future of the CCPFV, focusing on effective and inclusive standard setting.
