This initiative is part of a broader effort to improve law enforcement training in handling missing person cases. The call to action coincided with a memorial event in Mesa honoring what would have been Emily Pike's 16th birthday. Advocates emphasize the need for enhanced training to ensure timely and effective responses in missing person cases, which they believe could prevent future tragedies.
