California Fire Team Wraps Up Spokane Wildfire Efforts
The California Interagency Incident Management Team 7, led by Incident Commander Tom Clemo, is concluding its efforts in Spokane, Washington, after managing the suppression of wildfires in the area. The team, initially assigned to Oregon, was redirected to Spokane due to the severity of the fires. Local officials, including Fire Chief Tom Williams, have praised the team's coordination and effectiveness. The team operated out of Mt. Spokane High School and later the fairgrounds, where they received significant community support, including donations and volunteer assistance. The team is set to return to California on Sunday morning, August 16, 2026.
