Boston College Acquires EF Boston International Language Campus in Brighton
Boston College has successfully acquired the 17.6-acre EF Boston International Language Campus located at 200 Lake Street in Brighton. The property was purchased from EF International, a global leader in international education that had operated at the site for the past three decades. EF International announced earlier this year its intention to sell the property following a review of its global operations and long-term needs. While EF International's North American headquarters remain in downtown Boston/Cambridge, the organization continues to operate over 50 language campuses worldwide. The terms of the agreement for the acquisition were not disclosed. According to University spokesman Jack Dunn, Boston College is pleased with the acquisition, noting the property's direct proximity to its Brighton Campus and easy walking distance to the Chestnut Hill Campus.
