Church Community Rallies in Prayer for Missing Nancy Guthrie Amid Kidnapping Concerns
Nancy Guthrie, the mother of NBC's 'TODAY' show co-anchor Savannah Guthrie, has been missing since February 1, 2026, from her home in the Catalina Foothills near Tucson, Arizona. Authorities are treating the case as a possible kidnapping or abduction, with reports of ransom notes being sent to news outlets. The church where Nancy has been a long-time congregant, St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, has called on its members to pray for her safe return. Pastor John Tittle led a prayer service, emphasizing the need for forgiveness and the hope for Nancy's protection and the guidance of authorities in their search. The investigation has revealed that blood found on Nancy's porch matches her DNA, and her doorbell camera was disconnected shortly after she returned home on January 31. Despite these findings, no suspects have been identified, and the investigation continues.
