Philadelphia Police Search for Masked Man Terrorizing Public Near City Hall
Philadelphia police are actively searching for a masked individual who terrorized multiple people near City Hall on August 12th. The suspect, described by Captain Jason Smith as wearing a 'Chucky doll Halloween-style facemask,' approached individuals, attempting to scare or antagonize them while seemingly filming his actions with a cellphone. The incidents began at 5:18 a.m. near 15th and Chestnut streets. The suspect was refused service at a Dunkin' due to his mask and subsequently continued his spree for about 15 to 16 minutes across various locations near City Hall. Notably, he chased a man in a reflective vest and later confronted a 40-year-old female jogger, repeatedly asking her, 'Are you ready to die?' before chasing her, causing her to injure her leg.
