President Trump has announced his nomination of Dr. Heidi Overton, a top White House aide, to lead the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Dr. Overton, a medical doctor and deputy director of the White House Domestic Policy Council, has been involved in several of President Trump’s second-term health initiatives.
