Jeremy Boreing Advocates for Conservative Engagement in AI Development to Shape Future Worldview
Jeremy Boreing, co-founder of The Daily Wire, discussed the critical need for conservatives to actively engage in the development and application of artificial intelligence (AI) technology. In a podcast interview with Greg Laurie, Boreing expressed concern that conservatives are at risk of missing the "AI-moment," similar to how he believes they initially lagged in embracing social media. He highlighted that while conservatives are often reticent about new technologies due to their inherent desire to conserve, this approach prevents them from building and influencing emerging platforms. Boreing emphasized that the left, despite often criticizing capitalism, effectively uses capitalist models to propagate their worldview, while conservatives often rely on less efficient models like non-profits. He believes that conservatives must ensure their worldview is present in the spaces where people will seek information and ideas in the future, which increasingly includes AI.
