ShinyHunters Claims FBI Hack, Demands Retraction of Threat Report
The cybercrime and extortion group ShinyHunters claims to have breached FBI systems, accessing sensitive information from Criminal Justice, HR, and Medlink services. The group asserts it now possesses data on nearly all FBI agents and job applicants. As proof, ShinyHunters defaced a subdomain on the FBI's jobs website, fbijobs.gov, with the message 'This site has been seized by ShinyHunters.' The targeted domain is currently offline for maintenance. ShinyHunters issued a statement responding to an FBI FLASH report from May, which they claim contained false allegations against their group.
