How to Protect Your Smart TV from Malware and Unauthorized Access

Recent reports indicate that some apps on smart TV platforms, including Samsung's, have been used to turn TVs into 'resproxy' networks, allowing strangers to route internet traffic through users' IP addresses. This poses significant security risks, as it can be exploited for cybercrime. To protect against such threats, users are advised to be cautious when installing apps, scrutinize app permissions, and avoid granting unnecessary access. Samsung and LG have taken steps to ban apps with proxy functionalities from their platforms.
