Stella's Diner Closes in Chicago's East Lakeview Amid Business Sale
Stella's Diner, a long-standing establishment in Chicago's East Lakeview neighborhood, has closed following a business sale. The diner, located at 3042 N. Broadway, was known for its all-day breakfasts and sandwiches. Owner Marvin Barsky confirmed the closure, stating that it was unrelated to a recent health department shutdown due to a cockroach infestation. Stella's had reopened after addressing the health violations, but the sale had been in negotiation for some time. Barsky also owns The Bagel, another local restaurant, which remains open and plans to expand to a new location in Glenview. The space previously occupied by Stella's is set to be taken over by another well-known restaurant in the area.
