NYC Launches $26 Dining Deals to Boost Local Businesses During World Cup
New York City is introducing a $26 dining special at participating restaurants and bars throughout the FIFA World Cup, as announced by Mayor Zohran Mamdani. This initiative, called the 'Five Boroughs Winners Special,' aims to support small businesses and encourage exploration of neighborhoods across the city. Nearly 600 businesses have signed up to offer fixed-price food and drink options, including prix-fixe menus and beverage pairings, from June 11 to July 19. Additionally, businesses can sell limited-edition commemorative cups, with different designs for each borough, to enhance the World Cup experience. The program is part of a broader effort to engage New Yorkers and visitors in the World Cup festivities, which include matches at New Jersey's MetLife Stadium.
