Fi Recalls Dog Supplements Due to Salmonella Contamination Risk
Fi, a New York-based company, has initiated a recall of its Calming supplement for Dogs (180g, Lot Number 26118, UPC 850064800111) and 8-in-1 Formula supplement for Dogs (180g, Lot Number 26159, UPC 850055111684) due to potential Salmonella contamination. The contamination is linked to an ingredient supplied to Fi’s manufacturer, which has temporarily halted production to investigate the issue. Salmonella can pose health risks to animals consuming the product, potentially causing lethargy, diarrhea (possibly bloody), fever, and vomiting. Healthy but infected pets can become carriers and transmit the bacteria to other animals or humans. Humans handling contaminated products or animal waste are also at risk, especially if proper handwashing is not observed.
