Ex-Officer Accused of New Orleans Attack Plot Released After Grand Jury Decision
Christopher Gillum, a former law enforcement officer, was released from custody after a Louisiana grand jury declined to indict him on charges of planning a mass shooting at a New Orleans festival. Gillum was arrested in Florida with a handgun and ammunition, allegedly intending to target Black individuals. The grand jury found insufficient evidence to charge him with terrorism, leading to his release. Gillum's family has since taken him to a treatment facility, and he is not facing additional charges in other jurisdictions.
