Scattered Showers and Temperature Shifts Expected Across U.S. Regions
Weather patterns across the United States are set to shift early next week, with milder air and scattered showers forecast for the Southeast, while warmer conditions will spread through the Northern Plains and Upper Midwest starting Monday. A cold front is expected to move through northern areas and stall, bringing scattered showers to the Corn Belt. Temperatures south of the front will rise throughout the week, while milder conditions will prevail near and north of the front. Additionally, a Pacific trough will move through Canada, causing a ridge to expand across the U.S. and displace the eastern trough. The strongest part of the ridge will remain in the West. Weather models show some discrepancies in precipitation forecasts, with the European model predicting more rainfall in the Corn Belt compared to the U.S. model.
