Egypt, Libya, and Chad Coordinate to Revive CEN-SAD for Regional Stability
Egypt, Libya, and Chad are actively coordinating efforts to reactivate the Community of Sahel-Saharan States (CEN-SAD) and restore its regional influence. This initiative was discussed during a trilateral meeting involving Dr. Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration, and Egyptian Expatriates; Ahmat Kogri, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Chad; and Taher Al-Baour, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Libya. The ministers emphasized the critical importance of revitalizing the bloc to enhance cooperation on pressing regional challenges, including peace, security, counter-terrorism, illegal migration, and building security capacities for member states.
