Dan Koh Launches Campaign for Massachusetts' 6th Congressional District in 2026 Election
Dan Koh, a former White House official and Democratic politician, has announced his candidacy for Massachusetts' 6th Congressional District in the 2026 election. The seat is open following Representative Seth Moulton's decision to pursue a U.S. Senate bid. Koh previously served as chief of staff to Boston Mayor Marty Walsh and held senior roles in President Joe Biden's administration, including White House deputy cabinet secretary. He also has experience on the Andover Select Board. In 2018, Koh narrowly lost the Democratic primary for Massachusetts' 3rd District to Lori Trahan by 145 votes. His current campaign emphasizes affordability, stronger worker protections, accessible healthcare, democratic institutions, and accountable government. An internal poll from Global Strategy Group placed Koh in the lead among Democratic primary candidates with 34 percent support.
