Governor Evers Issues Statement on Passing of Wisconsin State Patrol Trooper Bradley Ritger
Governor Tony Evers released a statement mourning the passing of Wisconsin State Patrol Trooper Bradley Ritger. Trooper Ritger, 29, succumbed to injuries sustained on September 21 while responding to a traffic pursuit. During the incident, Trooper Ritger deployed a tire deflation device on a bridge deck west of the Dunn County/Eau Claire County line. As he moved to a position of cover, he fell from the bridge onto the roadway below. Despite immediate lifesaving efforts and critical medical care, Trooper Ritger passed away on Friday. Governor Evers expressed profound sadness, stating that Trooper Ritger was leading a life of public service and dedication, and his loss is a young life taken too soon.
