Indiana Governor Mike Braun Announces Statewide K-12 School Safety Tip Line
Indiana Governor Mike Braun has announced a new statewide anonymous tip line for all K-12 schools, set to launch in January 2027. This initiative, described as the first of its kind in Indiana, will provide 24/7/365 monitoring at no cost to participating schools. The program is backed by a $1 million investment from the administration. The tip line aims to allow students, families, and staff to anonymously report concerns such as bullying, threats, violence, or struggles faced by individuals. The Office of School Safety will conduct outreach and education sessions for schools in the coming months, and enrollment in the program will be optional, with the Central Indiana Educational Service Center facilitating the enrollment process for school corporations.
