Hawai'i Public Utilities Commission Schedules Meetings on Hawaiian Electric Storm Outages, Maui County Meetings Pending
The Hawai'i Public Utilities Commission (PUC) is initiating a series of public informational meetings across the state to address recent storm-related power outages experienced by Hawaiian Electric customers. These meetings will commence on Monday, with initial sessions scheduled for East Honolulu, Windward O'ahu, West O'ahu, and various locations on Hawai'i Island throughout October. However, no meetings have yet been scheduled for Maui, Moloka'i, or Lāna'i. The PUC has stated its intention to hold additional meetings for Maui County communities, as well as Central O'ahu and urban Honolulu, and will also provide a virtual participation option, with dates to be announced once finalized.
